CEDAR Barefoot Walk 2025 ‘Long-term Assistance to the Conflict-stricken Poor’

CEDAR Barefoot Walk 2024 ‘Care for the Disaster-stricken Poor’ was successfully held on 2 Nov, with heartfelt thanks to all units, volunteers, and participants for their support.

May all participants be deeply moved by the Lord, growing in their concern for climate justice and joining hands with the Disaster-stricken Poor.

Once again, we encourage everyone to support the ‘Care for the Disaster-stricken Poor’ programme by giving regularly. Your actions can help improve the lives of those affected by climate injustice, letting them experience the love of the Lord.

In recent years, conflicts have erupted across many parts of the world, claiming countless lives, destroying homes, and tearing families apart. In war-torn regions, the poor live under constant threat, burdened by fear and uncertainty. Economic downturns and damaged infrastructure make their lives even more difficult. Many who have fled their homes now live as refugees, often facing rejection and isolation. Some carry deep emotional wounds after losing loved ones—pain that may never fully heal. Amidst long-term suffering, they desperately need our care and companionship, to know that even when the media spotlight fades, God’s grace and mercy remain ever present.

Are you willing to spend an afternoon walking barefoot and participating in experiential activities with us to gain a deeper understanding of the struggles faced by those living in poverty amidst conflict? May this journey deepen our compassion and concern for neighbours in crisis.
