If you also hope your group could learn these topics together and discuss how to respond in practice, you are welcome to invite use to lead these meetings.

CEDAR attached great importance to the foundation of the Bible, we hope the believers / students would have knowledge about poverty and integral mission mentioned in the Bible, and have reflection and action afterwards. Welcome churches and schools to invite us to worship or fellowship groups, preaching or leading Bible study.

The topic / scripture of the preach or Bible study can be set according to the church’s need, the followings are some relevant topics / scriptures:

  • Neither poor nor rich (Proverbs 30:7-9, 10:22)
  • Cancelling debt, willing to borrow (Deuteronomy 15:1-11)
  • Land must not be sold permanently (Leviticus 25:1-28)
  • Who is our neighbour? (Luke 10:25-37)

Arrange a series of special courses or Sunday schools create chance to discuss about the needs and situations of today’s world systematically with believers and students, in order to learn how to live with the identity and mission of Christians. Assisting churches / schools to set up groups in long term helps to continue paying attention towards the disadvantaged or other issues.

In churches or schools’ fellowships, small groups, children’s gatherings, lessons or other meetings, share CEDAR visions and ministries, also the current situation of poverty. The content includes: knowing the world’s poverty, the relationship between believe and poverty, discussing about disparity between the rich and poor, fair trade and ecological justice, etc.

Through the experience activities and the explanations after the activities, believers and students could experience the situation of living in poor areas, and increase everyone’s understanding and empathy towards the poor.
