India, expected to become the world’s most populous nation in 2028, is tackling massive societal conflicts, economic disparity and disaster issues.
For the long-term development work, we strive to reduce disaster risk in the northern state of Bihar. We also provide tuition for dropout children in south-eastern India, food and toiletries for families, regular medical consultations, etc. Besides, in the northeastern state of Manipur, where tensions among tribes are prevalent, we build local communities, including church and civil society leaders, working towards constructive co-existence and mitigating conflicts through trauma healing, authentic dialogue, and peace advocacy. Moreover, to facilitate community development in urban areas, we train community organisations in Delhi, enhancing their capacities to serve the community and providing vocational training for the youth.
