CEDAR Fund (施達基金會) is an independent Christian relief and development organisation founded in Hong Kong in 1991. We work ‘From Church, Through Church’. Together with local and overseas churches and organisations, we aim to build a just and compassionate world together in Christ, serving communities in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
CEDAR is currently searching for qualified personnel to fill the below position. Details are as follows:
Communications Officer

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Committed to implementing the vision, mission, and operation principles of the CEDAR Fund.
- Produce corporate communication materials, including periodical publications, new releases, donors reports, appeal letters, annual report, social and website content in Chinese and English.
- Pitch and arrange media interviews.
- Work with volunteers and/or vendors to produce publications.
- Coordinate and participate in exposure trips and/or field trips to collect resources for marketing and communications purposes.
- Assist in organising fundraising events and perform sharing session and talks to schools and churches.
- Assist in handling crisis.
- Any other responsibility or duty as assigned by the Head of Partnership Development, Chief Executive and/or Board of Directors from time to time.
Key Requirements:
- University graduate, preferably with major in Communications, Public Relations, Translation, Journalism or related disciplines.
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience in communications and/or copywriting.
- Experience in working with NGO is preferred.
- Preference is given to those with theological training.
- Knowledge in WordPress Elementor and digital marketing tools and platforms is an advantage.
- Excellent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
- Personality-wise: proactive, versatile, detail oriented & able to multi-task.
- Strong communications and project management, plus interpersonal & presentation skills.
Programme Officer

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Committed to implementing the vision, mission, and operation principles of the CEDAR Fund.
- Develop and maintain relationships with an existing and potential partner.
- Liaise with overseas partners on all programmatic/project-related matters, and inspire and encourage partners to achieve the stipulated programmatic purposes/goals/objectives through coaching, capacity development and facilitation.
- Travel and visit partners in adverse locations on a regular basis to gain a deeper knowledge of the partners and implementation of the projects.
- Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Hong Kong Ministry.
- Formulate any necessary legal document for approved projects to facilitate the disbursement of relevant funding.
- Communicate with various internal departments to coordinate ongoing logistical planning (i.e. events, marketing campaign, drafting communications & training materials).
- Any other responsibility or duty as assigned by the Head of Programme, Chief Executive and/or Board of Directors from time to time.
Key Requirements:
- Undergraduate or above, preferably with major in international development or related disciplines.
- Knowledge and experience in Project Cycle Management.
- Excellent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
- Sensitive towards cross-cultural communication.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as on a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new technologies and software quickly.
- Less experience will be considered as Assistant Programme Officer.
Assistant Accounting Officer

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Committed to implementing the vision, mission, and operation principles of the CEDAR Fund.
- Liaise with donors and/or relevant departments regarding donations, project remittance and expense reimbursement.
- Assist in daily accounting operations, monthly financial closing, prepare account reconciliation and maintain General Ledger.
- Provide accounting and administrative support to the department.
- Responsible for outdoor assignments if needed, including but not limited to donation collection at the post office, cheques bank-in etc.
- Any other responsibility or duty as assigned by the Head of Ministry Support, Chief Executive and/or Board of Directors from time to time.
Key Requirements:
- Higher Diploma or above in accounting or related disciplines.
- At least 1 year of Hands-on relevant experience in Accounting would be preferred.
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as on a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new technologies and software quickly.
- Fresh graduates will also be considered.
